What is Uber?
Uber is a mobile application. People who have smartphones, are able to get advantage of this app. In order to use this app, you should first install then provide your home address, the credit card information and some other personal information. To get a ride, you have to enter your location and preferred destination. Only people who have the app request a ride. The drivers do not have any special licenses and they use their personal vehicles. The ride is handled through the smartphone application. You do not have to have cash. There are significant differences between Uber and the regular taxi providers.
First, contrary to traditional taxi, with Uber you cannot pick anyone from the street. Both passenger and driver must be using the Uber app in order to pick the passenger. Second, unlike in the taxi that everything is handled in cash, Uber handles both passenger fare and driver income electronically. The driver earning is not instantly available to driver, but they will receive the income weekly. Also, Uber rides are clean and polite since there is a rating system in effect for both passenger and the driver. That means driver rate the passenger and passenger rate the driver.
